I was going to apply but decided against it [four days to prepare the material and send off my application just was too quick for me because I got a late start]. My flute professor will be there though. She will be Mrs. Doriot Dwyer's assistant [the normal assistant wasnt available, so D. Dwyer asked my professor to fill in because she was a former pupil], and will be playing throughout the workshop. Her name is Ms. Kristen Kean, and she is really nice, so I hope you get to meet her.
Have fun!

Fantastic! She is a funny lady. [She does great impressions of Mrs. Dwyer if occasion arises and seems appropriate]. I hope she didn't seem out of sorts though. Her dissertation for her Doctorate is due in about 1 month, and it is a biography of Doriot Dwyer.... and Mrs. Dwyer is giving her a really hard time about it. Needless to say that Ms. Kean is really stressing out about it.
I am glad you got to meet her though! She IS really helpful.... although sometimes her methods are slightly unconventional.... [she once seriously tried to bring in one of those huge excercize balls for me to use in my lesson.....
Why.... I have no Idea....]
But she is great nonetheless.
If you don't mind... feel free to send me a PM to tell me about what all she did at Tanglewood... [she stays rather tight lipped about certain things, and this is one of them, although she is pushing really hard for me to do it next year].
