Playing problem
was wondering if anyone else has this problem.. when i play, i tend to collect saliva in my mouth, and after awhile, it starts to get hard to play. anyone know any ways to fix it other than to keep swallowing it? is it my way of playing that makes it like this perhaps?

hm..I spit a lot when I play..but I usually spit it in my flute [not like intentionally...just while articulating when I play and what not]...that is a really weird problem..I haven't heard of it at least. When you take your flute apart after playing, is there spit in there as well?

May seem silly, but the experience I have on it is that to avoid saliva ruinning your playing it's necessary to drink enough water, so your body keep a good level of humidity.
On a performance day I usually drink a glass of water every hour, or every two hours during the day. It helps also to keep the lips in shape.
