Therapeutic Music

Post by MonikaFL »

Some of you may already know that I run a non-profit called Canticle. We provide live music to people in long-term and transitional care facilities, hospices, nursing and retirement homes, etc.

We have a website of course (www.canticlemusic.org) but we ALSO have a MySpace. We've started to blog our thoughts and reflections after we've played somewhere.

So, for those of you interested in the therapeutic aspects of music, feel free to check it out:

We have some sound files and pics up. We love to play together, have fun, but we're always striving for keeping the quality of our music as high as possible, and remembering WHY we volunteer our music in this way.
Visit Formia Press to check out my compositions and arrangements for flute and more.
