Just saying hi!

Hey everyone!
Just wanna say Hi! to the forum. I got a flute about 2 months back after hearing some tunes that I really wanna play but my Native American flute can't due to its scale - and have only recently found the time to sit down and practice for a little while every day. So far it's pretty good, low C is still kicking my butt, but I did manage to get up to the 2nd register A a few days back. So... more practice to go! Currently practicing with books by Mr Vernon Hill and Mr Howard Harrison.

My flute's a Gemeinhardt 2SP, got it off ebay (!!) but had it go through a coa with a local music shop. Right now I'm working off some books, and hope to get an instructor soon once I get more funds

Welcome to the forum! There's lots of good info here, but don' be afraid to ask if you have a question that you don't see answers to....We're always glad to help!

I pretty much reserve my NaF's for improv and for private worship/prayer time now.

Yeah I'm new too, I've just started playing flute again after a 15 year hiatus.

15 years ago I didn't have the luxury of internet access, but now I'm able to get so many answers to questions off of the net

If your looking for other good books for helpful instructions try out Trevor Wye. He has published books that deal with Tone, Technique etc.
