sankyo cf 201 (silver head)
or miyazawa pa 202 (silver head)
both sound very good, but i play jazz , whats better for jazz?

All that I can say, is that you have to play them to decide. Try to do a blind test if at all possible. Both of these flutes are handmade, and are therefore flutes of very high quality. Whichever flute you decide to get will be great for jazz.
My only thought on this issue, are Straubinger pads. Miyazawa pads their flutes with Straub pads which can be very temperamental at times. But, from the flutes I have played, I have noticed that flutes with very hard pads [like straubinger pads or JS Gold pads] tend to respond better to extended techniques. Key clicks have more volume... etc. etc. But, this could simply be a tendancy I have noticed within my playing, and it may not be the same when you play them.
So, just try them out, and let your ear be the judge.

Well, I am also a Jazz player. What flute you choose is a matter of personal taste. Most Jazz flute players are doublers, and tend not to own higher end flutes....for what ever reason.
Frankly, I have played quite a bit on Sankyos, and I own a Miyazawa. The choice between the 2 of these flutes is a toss up! They are both Japanese handmade flutes. Their heajoints are pretty similar. However, I could do more, and had slightly better projection on the Miyazawa than the Sankyo. In my opinion, the Sankyo was perfect when it came to doing primarily classical pieces, but just did not have the projection I was looking for playing with rock/jazz/fusion bands. If you have a good mic/amp system for a flute, it really does not make much difference.
Keep in mind, this was according to my playing style. Before I settled on the Miyazawa, I owned a Pearl 665, and a Yamaha 514. This could very well be the reason I was more comfortable with the Miyazawa.
Between the 2 of them, you would be satisfied with either one.
Have you considered any other brands? My weapon of choice for Jazz gigs is my Pearl 665. This flute works great when I am working in combos with other horn players. Even doublers like to play on them. The Miyazawa is cool, but I save this flute for when I am the only horn player, solos/duets, and recording.
