Success! ...(sort of)

Today, I played all the way through Concertino (by Chaminade) for the first time ever! It took me about 20 minutes going really slow through all the ups and downs, but I hit all the high notes and made sure I caught all the extra sharps (especially in the flute only part when it gets all funky - whew!). It was shaky, but still progress. I can't wait to be able to play it smoothly; its just such a neat song! :)

congratulations, for getting through it,

I'm currently studying this piece for my AMEB 8th grade (AMEB = Australian Music Examination Board, for the non-Australian players).

It still tires me out, but hopefully by exam time it will be a breeze, just so long as I put in the hard work now.

I just finished bombing an audition that involved this solo. Congratulations on getting it. I'll warn you though, judges at auditions are PICKY with this song.
