Hi and welcome to Fluteland. The Chinese Dizi bamboo flute is a very interesting instrument. To answer your questions:
Yes, the embouchure is essentially the same as a concert C flute. You will have to make some small adjustments for the best sound but the transition is pretty easy.
The basic fingerings are similar but not identical to the C flute. The Dizi is more like a recorder or tin whistle.
The Dizi has an extra hole between the embouchure hole and the first fingerhole. The extra hole is covered with a thin dimo membrane that gives the Dizi it's unique sound.
Dizi flutes are available from both Amazon and eBay. Prices start at around $15 for just the Dizi. I suggest getting a kit that includes some accessories like a carry bag, dimo, and er jiao glue for the Dimo membrane. You can find such kits starting around $25.
You will also find that Dizi are available in different keys. The choice of key depends upon what you wish to do with it. If you just want to play by yourself, the key does not matter. If you want to be able to play with other instruments, read a normal flute part and not have to transpose the notes to a different key, then you should try a "G" Dizi. A G Dizi corresponds to a C flute. The Dizi key is defined by the note that sounds when you have the first three fingerholes covered. So if you choose a G Dizi, when you finger a G (first 3 holes covered) on the Dizi it will sound the same pitch as a G your C flute.
