Flute marked as 'Evettes'

Post by Movethedeckchairs »

Hi All

I am trying to track down the origins of a flute I have, which is labelled as “Evettes By Buffet Crampon” and has a serial number which I think is N2698.
This does not seem to match any of the information or models I can find for a genuine buffet crampon evette flute, so I am starting to think this might be a cheap knockoff. It is about 10-15 years old and seems to play okay, but I am rather curious as to where it actually comes from.
Has anybody seen a flute labelled like this before, or does anyone have any information about where this might come from?
