Hi everyone, My name''s Sarah, I''m 16, from England and a
new poster here [:)] So... I''ve been playing the flute for eight years, I
think, but two Christmases ago after taking my Grade 8 exam I stopped having
lessons, partly because I was at the beginning of Year 10 and the start of my
GCSE courses and therefore I didn''t want to start work on my performance
diploma, but also because I had to have orthodontic treatment... but last May I
auditioned for a music Saturday school and got a place, which meant I could
start having lessons again, so this I do... and I''m hoping to take my diploma
at the end of next year. I play the piano and the viola as well, but I''ve
only been learning the viola for eight weeks or so so you can imagine how awful
it sounds [:p] Anyway, I look forward to meeting everyone here and chat to you

Hi Sarah, welcome to the board. Congratulations...it sounds like
you are doing quite well with your flute playing and I am sure you will be a big
help to many of us here. I am a mom who has started playing flute again after
not playing for many years and I have a daughter who is in her 3rd year of
