Hello!
I'm new to this board and also to flute playing. I bought a flute (Yamaha 211) about 6 years ago and started taking lessons. I was getting ready to take my first flute exam but then my flute teacher moved away. My flute ended up in the loft and I forgot about it for a while. Finally got it down and found a new teacher.
I thought I'd join this forum to give me some motivation to keep going. I am not naturally musical and am finding it very hard!

What ever you do, make sure you take your flute to a technician and have it checked out. When flutes sit for a long time, often the will get out of adjustment or develop leaks. This will greatly insure that you will have less pitfalls!klucas wrote:Hello!

I do vocal coaching as well. I have taught people to sing that were completely tone deaf. I agree with Classitar, Genius is often mistaken for Hard Work!
Welcome to the board!
