Key defect?

Post by flutepower »

Hey Everyone,

I've just got a new flute, and it sounds great! I was playing it a few minutes ago, then placed it down to arrange my sheet music. I picked up my flute again, and noticed one of the keys won't play when I play. I tried a scale, and all the keys worked perfectly except one key. What happened? Will the sound come back soon? Help!

Check to make sure that one of the springs didn't come out of place.

Check to make sure that none of the screws have come unscrewed.

When placing flute on sheet music ... make sure not to do it! Fish skin can be torn if you wedge paper into it.

I found the problem, and going to get it repaired. Thanks for all the help! It was the screws.
