All-City Band Concert

For people that play at school do you have
All-City band concerts? And even for people out of school, it''s possible your
town/city has one and it might be interesting to check out. My town has one
coming up soon and I''m really excited. It''s better the older you get
because at the concert the two 5th, two 6th, one 7th and the four high school
bands play one song. It''s really funny listening to the 5th grades because
all they play is a bunch of quarter notes on the beat but it''s still really
cute though because it brings back old memories. . .lol Just wanted to share
that piece of music/band news. . . but you still might wanna see if your town
has something like that because it is very interesting to see the music get
harder and harder with each level, though I feel bad for the last band because
they have to sit through all of everybody elses songs!

Do they issue ear plugs as you enter? Never heard
of 5th, 6th or 7th grade all city bands. Sounds like your town is doing good
things for music. It will be a good experience for those kids.

Yeah I think it's a great learning experience.
Since we all play one song EACH we get to here the upper high school bands play
hard advanced music. Every year as I think "I'll play like that someday." it's
really cool
