Hi there, this is the first time that I have used this forum. I play mostly Clarinet , but also Flute and Oboe.
Just recently I purchase a Jupiter JFL711E flute as an upgrade to my old Armstrong Series 90.
Are there any reviews of this flute on this forum as I can't seem to find any in the search.
To me , this flute is quite good to play but is a touch 'brighter' than the Armstrong.
It's quality of finish looks to be of a good standard also.
Oh it's Ok , I've finally figured out how to use 'search'
Lots of posts there but would still like some more input on this model.
At first I thought that my new Flute did not have a serial number and Series number
but they are there , on the main body , stamped on one of the support bars for the posts.

Re: Jupiter JFL711E flute
I was pretty impressed with the Jupiter 711, especially for the money. If you like the way it plays, you will not go wrong buying it. Caution, Jupiter flutes are very borderline to the flute snobs. If you are going to buy one, it better be a flute you are going to keep and not resell.
Although I think the 711 would be an upgrade from a playability standpoint, you can always take the Armstrong to a good tech and have it setup how you like. The only thing you really gain is a better headjoint and maybe the split E. However, a headjoint can make a big difference. Only you can decide that.
