Does you flute sound better on some days and worse on others?
I suppose it depends on the weather (humidity etc.), but my flute doesn't always sound the same.
I just got back from playing a concert in Truckee, CA at 6000'-7000' in altitude, and in the low 20 degrees F at night. Got chapped lips and my tone suffered.
PS: It is cold (almost winter) here right now.
PPS: I think we had already discussed this, but the sudden arrival of cold weather here made me think of the problem again.
Update: Cold, but sunny today, and the flute sounds great,,,
