Hi everyone!
I apologize for the random post/introduction. I recently started a website, www.localpinch.com, so people searching for local services (such as flute lessons) could find those services (such as flute teachers) near them.
I used to take and give french horn lessons (I know, I know), and understand first hand how difficult it is to find a good teacher, and as a teacher to find new students.
On LocalPinch, you can create a profile for yourself including experience, education, pictures, videos, etc., and the profile is easily findable by people searching online for things like "flute lessons Chicago".
In fact, you can even book lessons on the site. This is done by creating a "gift certificate" on your profile. You can either offer full price or discounted lessons. You can see what a few teachers are already doing here:

http://www.localpinch.com/gift-certific ... ng-Talents
http://www.localpinch.com/gift-certific ... ic-Lessons
I'd really appreciate you giving us a look, and even listing a profile/lessons for yourself. We're in the early stages where we're just trying to get enough folks on the site to make it pop. But when it does, I think it could be a great resource to help music students and teachers connect.
If you have any questions or feedback, please shoot me an email at ben@localpinch.com
Thanks!
Ben
