Wisdom Teeth Removal... Effects on Flute-Playing

Well, today I had my lower two wisdom teeth removed. Still numb from the procedure, I certainly can't attempt embrochure right now, but I was wondering:
If anyone else has dealt with this, how long will it be before I can comfortably play again?

In my experience, it took about two weeks before I was able to comfortably play again. Some people heal faster, some people heal slower, but I probably wouldn't attempt to play for at least a week...

Two weeks is a long time.

Thanks for the timely reply, though. I was about to schedule a church performance for two weeks from now!

only way my wisdom teeth will go out is over my completely dead rotting corpse.

me too...it's just...such a gruesome ordeal....what's wrong with just leaving the teeth in? my piano teacher never pulled em out and 40 years later, she's still fine.

I wouldn't have had mine out, but they were causing alot of pain, which worsened when I played my flute. I am glad they are gone!
The other two will remain unless they become as much of a nuisance as their lower level counterparts.

I'm lucky, they did an X-ray and I was only born with one
