Been playing for 2 years now. Thought I would post this for some feedback. A little improve on Autumn leaves.

Personally, I'd like more recognizable melody. If you hadn't told me it was "Autumn Leaves" I probably wouldn't have known that. And just figured the couple of measures in the middle that did follow closer to the melody just happened to sound like AL.

But I do really like the pic of your part-V! What's his/her name?

simpler melody line. I am a little shocked, the first verse and chorus is fairly straight forward melody with a few flourishes... Played straight, I think it would be uninteresting but to each his own. I like jazz.

Yes my compatriot in the image is Homer. A great member of the family. A pure bread golden labrador. We also have an English Cream golden retriever named Henry.

I think I understand now. You've heard a different version than what I grew up with. Here's the instrumental version that Music of Your Life radio would play--

This is the melody I didn't hear except for parts of phrases here and there (mainly just its opening line). I think if I were familiar with the version you know then yours would be completely fine.

I do want to point out that you played fine. I just missed not hearing what I'm used to at the beginning.

As for Jazz, I like the non-new-style fine. I'd better--I play keyboard in a Jazz band! :D

Now understand why you didn't hear it. Mine is more like a slow Chet Baker interpretation.
