Yes, well... for you perhaps, Mr. I'm-Going-To-Graduate-In-Four-Years. :P I actually calculated it all for me on my six-year plan and I'm going to have an excess of lesson hours taking voice AND flute for the next five years. LOL!

My undergrad consisted of five years. I studied flute and voice, and minored in another field. I also wanted to play the voilin, but I was horrible, so I took oboe instead. My roommate HATED that duck noise, which made me practice even more

College is great :D Why wouold you want to graduate in less than five years? The real world is not so much fun

Yeah, there's that too... I'm not sure I'm done being an 'irresponsible young adult' yet. You know, when I get out of college I'll have to get a job, keep that job, keep a roof over my head, eventually find a guy and get married to him, have kids, raise those kids... jeez... that's only through to about my 40's and 50's, and already just thinking about it I'm exausted.
I might just stay in college for a while... And you know, the six years is just my undergrad... that's not counting graduate school at all.

:)
I was using simple flutes and recorders to stay sane while running from
who I am.
(it almost worked  )
Then I got hold of a saxophone again and was on my way. :)
I've kept playing flute though, and at least half the time I use
a Boehm system now. :)

I had been playing clarinet for 10 months but I loved the sound of the flute so I decided to just try it. Well I did and now I'm hooked on both instruments. Actually I love any musical intrument and I would love to play them all but I can only manage about 2.

Why do I want to graduate in four years? because that is when my scholarship runs out. Besides, I wont be out quite yet, because I have my graduate degree, and probably a doctorate ahead of me [It is my utmost ambition right now to be a professor of music at an accreditted university].

So.... that is why I want to graduate in 4 years. But, if I dont finish in four years... oh well... more time for me to practice.

Seeing as I'm not on track to be a university professor (heck yeah, saves me years on a PhD!) I can afford to linger a little longer on my undergrad before I run out to grad school.
Thank goodness too, as I'm a naturally lazy person and if I tried to graduate in four years I'd probably die due to stress. :P
