Stop flute moving
Hi. When I'm really hot and playing my flute, I sometimes find it hard to keep my flute in one position as it gets hot - is there anything I can put on the mouth piece to keep the grip? I.e. with the clarinet you get pads to put on the mouth piece to stop teeth marks etc I hope this makes sense?

Re: Stop flute moving
This is quite a common problem and one I've experienced myself.
I find make-up makes things worse, as if it's hot, this makes my skin greasier and the flute just slides even more.
Some people have had success with postage stamps, or you can buy special gummed paper that is shaped for the lip-plate ... http://www.justflutes.com/yamaha-non-sl ... 79310.html
Other things I've seen recommended is using matt tape, or even using a cigarette paper.
