I have a question regarding B lever and Bb key

Post by spongetrick8 »

Basing on the Fingering chart provided by fluteland.com, is it really necessary to hold the B lever key only and not the Bb key when playing a G? Because i notice they only just sound the same and im just wondering if it really matter to do the correct fingering.

I also have problem in shifting from high G# to a low B
Any recommendations would be great. Thanks

For this note it does not matter where your thumb is. There are some notes though that you cannot have the Bb thumb on such as F#3. Most notes it does not matter where your thumb is.
