I've been playing ethnic wind instruments for a while and now I'd like to start with the concert flute.
I can (slowly) sight read all the notes of the first two registers and I have a passable vibrato but... I have never played a piece.
Can anyone recommend some easy and nice classical pieces or studies?
Sorry if my answer is not what you expected, but I think you would get the most out of your learning if you get lessons with a flute teacher. It's difficult to suggest something without actually seeing your level of playing in person.

I forgot mentioning this, I will start taking lessons in February. Until then, I just want to have something to play.

Hi, I bought a book called "76 studies for the flute", and then I got a free one called "50 studies for the recorder" (when I bought them online), but you can play it on the flute as well. Maybe they're a bit too easy if you're used to playing classical music, but some of them sound quite nice as short pieces on their own, to me anyway (its not just songs made of scales and arpeggios like some study books). They are both by Sally Adams.
Also if you search for "jennifer cluff free music" on google there is a list of lots of free classical pieces there.
