Oops!

I was wrong when I said the Haynes was 440 pitch - it is actually a 435 pitch, making it "flat as a pancake" compared to newer flutes.

However, I will send a note to artist in residence to confirm that some intonation may be affected by shortening headjoint by 3 mm.

However, considering that my skills are being relearned afer a 40 year lapse, I doubt if it will make a difference in MY playing!
