Anybody know anything about the brand Giardinelli?

Post by mareike »

I was in my local music store trying out some intermediate flutes because I am in the process of upgrading from my student flute that I've owned for a number of years. While I was trying out models like the Pearl 665 and Yamaha 362, the assistant highly recommended a Giardinelli GFL-10 by Haynes to me while I was there. Does anybody know anything about this brand or model in particular? I've heard people say that Giardinelli is associated with Gemeinhardt in some sorts but I'm really not sure and I can't really seem to find practically any information about this brand online. I will be going back into the shop to try it out again probably later this week when they have the Di Zhao 500 shipped in, and I wanted to see if I can gain any info on the brand in the meantime. Thanks in advance! :D

The only relationship between Giardinelli and Gemeinhardt is the letter "G". Giardinelli flutes are the econo-line brand of Haynes.
