I have problems with E3, F#3, Ab3 and C#2,3 only because of tone. I can play them with a nice tone, but not as nice as my other notes. It registers as airy sometimes or slightly out of tune, which I find annoying when I play.
I haven't started on the fourth octave other than C4. I'm not sure where to get fingering charts for the fourth octave.

Actually, from a theoretical standpoint, there are more to learn. The harmonic series that the upper ranges of the flute are based on does not operate normally from G4-Bb4, but if you were to muster the air and embouchure support, a B5 would theoretically be a possibility.fluteguy18 wrote:I have never had a problem with range. They all seemed rather easy to learn with the proper fingering chart.

I know in theory it could just keep going, however....... have you ever played those notes? or heard anyone play above the F# without altering the instrument? if you have.... I will go back to the drawing board, but until then, I will say I can play the complete range.
now....... to get it all in tune......

Dificult notes
It's funny, but in my opinion, C# is not really the hardest note to learn. It is indeed the worse to play, because of a "problem" on the acoustics of the flute.
The note I've found to be the hardest to play was undoubtly the 3rd octave E, which is subject to various solutions created by the manufacturers of flutes to minimize its scarying effects.
cheers,
Zevang
