Should I get private lessons?

My band director told us of a private teacher that offers lessons. I was wondering if I should get lessons.

It doesn't cost very much and there is some very positive things said about the teacher. So does anyone think I should get lessons?

Thanks for replying. I used to take lessons from a first chair flute but he graduated and went to play for a college.

I think I'll see about lessons from the other teacher my band director suggested. Thanks again.
