I'm a high school flute player in a smaller school. I would love to have private lessons but there is no one within 45 min to an hour that gives flute lessons, that i know of... so does anyone have any suggestions for me as to what my options for learning to be better by myself?....or anything....

try talking to your band director. They could probably hook you up with someone, if not, maybe they'll help. :)

There's always the Internet - Nina Perlove, James Walker, Robert Dick, Thomas West, and Kathleen Bondurant give flute lessons via webcam.
There was an article about Flute Lessons via Webcam in the May/June 2010 issue of Flute Talk.

Angela McCuiston in FL also does webcam lessons.
Just curious- where do you live? I am surprised there are no teachers around at all.
