Beatbox Snare on Flute, help anyone?

Post by Cuddlebox »

Hi all!

I have practised beatbox for about two years know and know some flutebeatbox (if you want to call it that). My problem is that I think my "snare" sound (you know - kick, snare and hi-hat) isn't as good as it could be and I'm loosing much of the tune which doesn't allow me to play tunes where the snare comes at the same time as a note.

I have tried asking different beatbox communitys like humanbeatbox.com (I use to hang there for those who wonder :P ) but none of them gave me any good answers. So now I'm trying to ask you people who hoplefully knows something about my problem.

The snare I'm using for the moment is a hard outward K sound with a lot of air in to it, more like "Khhhh".

Ohh...and I asked Greg Pattillo about help but he said (back then) that he also used that snare but mine is nowhere as sharp and punchy as his.

So enough said, do anybody got any help or do you use a different snare that you want to share with you?

If you're in contact with Greg Patillo, I'm sure he knows alot more about that than anyone here.
