Prescreening Audition Video Recording

Hello,

I am wondering if anyone knows of any digital cameras/camcorders that work well for recording flute playing. I have a DXG-5E8VG Luxe camcorder now that works well for everyday use, but the sound quality just isn't good enough to use for college audition prescreenings, especially in the high register on flute. Any input would be much appreciated.

I suppose your camera doesn't have any external microphone jack, does it?
