i was at a music store and i happened to see one of those mini packages with the flute swab, polisher, etc. in it. I'm definately not using the polisher because i think this package is meant for a beginner's flute (i have a yamaha 481H).
what i wanted your opinions on was the swab that came with it. it supposed to be a new synthetic swab that just goes in the eye of the cleaning rod. i tried it once and it does work really well ut i'm afraid it might damage the silver or something. if anyone has any opinions on this please share!!
I like to use micro fiber cloths. Whatever you decide, DON'T STORE your cleaning rod or swab in the flute. The moisture is bad even if it isn't inside the insturment.
