C.P.E. Bach and J.S. Bach both have sonatas in E major, so I'm afraid you'll need to be more specific. However, both appear to be available through fluteworld.com

I'll assume you're seeking the J.S. Bach sonata, of which several editions are available. Try Flute World, Stanton's Sheet Music (Columbus, OH), Shaddinger's, or sheet music service of Portland (OR). J.S. wrote six flute sonatas, though one is considered somewhat spurious (only two movements, incomplete), and an unaccompanied partita. The sonatas are published by at least four or five companies, and the editions range from modestly-priced to kind of expensive. The Schirmer edition is relatively inexpensive, but reaaaalllly over-edited. The new Peters edition is very nice, with a play-along CD, but they've published the sonatas in two volumes of three pieces each (as previously), and each volume is about $24. It's one of the better editions, not over-edited with expressive markings Bach didn't originally indicate, and includes the CD, and the viola da gamba (cello continuo) part as well as the keyboard part. I play them with my cellist-husband with no piano, and they still sound complete. :D

for some reason, i can't seem to find it there. and I meant JS Bach's version. i can't seem to locate any E major sonatas from either of them.

It's listed as "Sonata in E BWV 1035" just do a search for this, and it's the 6th item listed. You can also buy it in combination with other sonatas, and those collections should come up too.
