alto flute? / tenor sax?

I read somewhere that tenor sax is in the same
key of G as alto flute. If I wanted to play tenor sax music or arrangement on an
alto flute would that be feasible (like play the tenor sax part in a band
arrangement) Rebecca

Dear Rebecca, Tenor sax is in the key of Bb.
If you play an alto flute in Bb (it can be in various keys), than you can
interchange the two (although Bb sax will sound one octave lower than the
flute). Hope this helps.
