Problem in my back :(

Post by Liwen_gothflute »

¡Hola que tal!
I have a problem in my back: my arm is not good, i have a big pain, i can´t move it and my doctor sais that it is a possible problem about my "trapezium" or something similar.
I have to do "test" for see what is the problem.
Now, i cant play flute, but I play piccolo without problem, then, i thought maybe i´d can buy one of this for study:

Do you think it is a good idea?

If you have arm or shoulder problems, the curved headjoint might help a little, but it is mostly intended to allow children or those with shorter arms to reach the right-hand keys. It might help, but it might not be enough since you will still need to raise your arms.

You might want to look into a vertical headjoint. It is shaped sort of like a "T" and allows the flute to be played in front of you so that you don't have to raise the arms as when playing horizontally on a regular headjoint. Take a look at this site: http://www.flutelab.com/vertical.html

I hope the doctors can help you so that you can get back to playing normally.
