Yes I am auditioning for a regional band of 90 schools. But I highly doubt I'll make it because its for 10th-12th graders and im in 9th grade so its not likely

there are a lot of good flutists out there

Ick. I am playing Fantasie also, for Maine's all state auditions. No offense, but I really hate it. It's not hard or anything, just ugly.

hey i live in jersey and i'm playing it for region all state and all eastern also. i guess the reason other people from the east coast (like maine) are playing the same solo is cuz we need to have the same solo for all eastern.
the solo is really beautiful! it gets annoying though after practicing sooo much.. when are ur auditions on this piece?

I'm auditioning on saturday.

No the piece isn't to hard but I really do love it. I think it's beautiful, it can get annoying though. I've practiced it so much lately I'm giving myself a break.

Thanks, I'm sure I'll do great(not making it but I'll do great)

I've practiced hard and I'm satisfied with how it sounds now.

LOL!! I'm glad someone else dislikes this piece besides me.....I love Faure, but don't care for for the chord structure of this piece....it's on our district list here in NC and every four years, I've have to hear that piece about 20 times a week and it grades on my nerves after a few weeks.
