Eb Flute...
I just became the proud new owner of an Armstrong Eb flute. I've wanted one of these for two years (since I first got to play one in a flute choir with the rest of the flutes in the Tournament of Roses Honor Band), and I'm soooo excited that I thought I'd share! I don't actually get to have it until Christmas, as it's going to be partially a gift, but it'll be well worth the wait!

::: jealous scowl::: Lucky! I am glad that you can have all of these instruments. It really shows commitment [and good money management skills]. I am struggling as it is to upgrade to a pro level/ handmade flute as it is [ I REALLY need to upgrade].
I know that I had a friend who had a chance to buy one of those. It had been in the music store for so many years that they offered it to her for about $60 because they wanted to get rid of it so badly. She didnt buy it though. Now, she really regrets it.
Well, I hope that you really enjoy your {as we call it here at EKU} 'Fliccolo'.
I know that when I finally upgrade [it cant come soon enough......] I will be shouting it out to the world.

Good luck on your upgrade. You deserve it...You're obviously committed enough that you should have the equipment you need. I was very fortunate to snag this one for a great price (about 600 with shipping, but it's in playing condition, so no repairs are necessary), and I am very lucky to have the instruments I do. I rather like that EKU name...I'll have to remember that!fluteguy18 wrote:::: jealous scowl::: Lucky! I am glad that you can have all of these instruments. I know...There's one on Fluteworld selling for about 1300, and generally on eBay they sell for around $800, even when they're not in playing condition (which most of them aren't). So I was very pleasantly surprised to find one in good condition for such a great price....I can't wait to play it!fluteguy18 wrote:600.... not a bad price at all.

Re: Eb Flute...
Thank you very much! I Believe I promised someone on here a recording of my playing many moons ago, so if I finally manage to get my recording equipment set up, I just may do a take on the Eb too, and post both of them.shortandsilly wrote:flutepicc06 wrote:I just became the proud new owner of an Armstrong Eb flute. There is another Eb flute on eBay, but this one is wooden and costs $1,595.00 (or best offer).

It takes 2.5 months to deliver, though, because it is made to order.
I don't particularly like the color of the wood in the pictures. Is that rosewood? It looks like it has been stained or something. Maybe it's just the camera. User midne1 bought one and said "Pretty instrument. Good communication. A++++", so I guess it can't be that bad.
I'm not planning to buy an Eb flute any time soon, however, wooden or otherwise. I just don't have much use for it.
