Mateki ?

Post by liberace »

Hello/

Does anyone here play a Mateki ? They don't seem to have a company web site - which makes me think they may have gone bust (?)

I would appreciate any info/

Have a good day/

I have played Matekis before and thought they were quite nice. As far as the company, I don't know much about their current situation. I do know that they are a Japanese company located in Tokyo exported by a company called O & K industries.

I have only good words for Mateki's. Japanese as said with quite good presense in Europe too. Good value for money, good manufacturing quality. They have a distictive headjoint design as far as I understand that gives a "weird" feeling at the first touch (at least to me). If you get over the first impressions the flute works fine and sounds very good.
