Teacher listings

Post by andy957 »

Is there a forum on Fluteland (or some other flute-related board) that contains listings for flute teachers around the world (well, in North America at least)?

I've tried craigslist and found a couple of them but still am not entirely thrilled with what I've come across, so am continually "looking".

Thanks.

I'm guessing its more "word of mouth" than anything else, try to google more. Would be nice to find local ones, tried it myself but the prices have put me off.

You can try this:

However, a listing like this really doesn't provide any insights into their experience, teaching style, or any other factors that should be considered. As Nasxxx said, a referral from someone who has actually taken lessons with a specific teacher is far more useful.
