Signature music flute.

Post by Lily »

Hello, I ordered a flute from amazon, that is the brand "Signature music".
This one:
http://www.amazon.com/Signature-Music-S ... 794&sr=1-2

Just asking if anyone has any experience with it, or knows anything about the brand. I have tried to google it, but so many things come up with the signature thing.
I have just started playing again, and only wanted a flute to play around with :)

-Thank you

First of all, please read Section2 of the FAQ Here

http://www.fluteland.com/board/viewtopic.php?t=2411

Since the FAQ was established, a lot of changes have been made in the starter flute industry. Starter flutes are a lot better than they were a few years ago. However, you are still taking a risk. The first thing I would suggest is look around at your local music shops for used instruments. This by far is the best way! People will generally repair and maintain the products they sell. This is not always the case when you buy something over the internet. Often, repair people will refuse to work on a flute that is not a familiar brand, even if it is decent.

If you just have to buy online, check out some of the places in the FAQ. There is a list of reputable dealers that sell flutes. I know that wwbw.com definite has new flutes in your price range, and they have a good return policy. Another place is Noteworthy Music on ebay.com. They also have a good return policy.

Please go throguh the FAQ very carefully. It needs to be updated, but there is still a lot of valuable information for you to check out.

Hello,
I read the FAQ. I was just wondering if anyone had seen this brand before.
Thank you for the advise though :)

P.S. I returned the flute, it felt bad and just, didn't feel good. The plating was also a bit weird.
