Hi, sorry to hop on the forum for just one question but I cant get the info anywhere else. I recently purchased a music store in Washington state and found a "GEO cloos" flute. Its modern system and I'm pretty sure its in C but I don't have any info more than that. A local band teacher is in love with it and I don't know what they go for. It seems like George Cloos is a good brand but everything I find is fifes.
It is closed hole, has a c foot, is grenedilla wood, has no cracks and that's about as much as I can tell. This flute is so nice I took it home and tried to learn on it. I think I'll stick to trumpet.
Feel free to PM or email me as well.
Thank you for your time.

From what little I could dig up with a quick google search, the company was in business from 1862-1950.
It's value would be dependent and condition. Things that would also impact it's value would be whether it has had any major repairs in the past ( pinned cracks, keys replaced etc.). I found one flute (but not of the contemporary Boehm System that was priced for sale at almost $900 USD.
I honestly have no idea what to tell you. I would recommend joining the Galway-Flute-Chat on Yahoo! Groups. It's an email based message board/community. There are countless flutists on there that could probably help you. You could also try looking for a few communities dedicated to vintage flutes.
