serial numbers

Hey,
I don't know whether my topic belongs is this section or not.
Do you guys check the serial number of your flute?
I've recently buyed a Powell Signature and I want to check the serial number. Does anybody know where I can check this?

Try the Powell web site. They have page to lookup a serial number:
