I have a flute that has passed its usefulness, needs to be entirely repadded and is missing the cork.
It's sterling plated.
What should I do with it?

Well.... you could do a lot with it.
You could get it fixed.
You could tinker on it and learn how to take flutes apart.
OR
My personal favorite....
Turn it into a lamp. Then put sheet music all over the lamp shade.

Besides the good sense of humor of fluteguy
why don't you take it to a good technician so you get it properly repaired?

Find a program that recycles used instruments for children who can't afford them. I work with a program in my area that helps do this, and it is amazing!

I made mine into a flute lamp for my studio. It is a great conversation piece and it lets me keep it for sentimental value.

Can you post a picture of your lamp, Arianna? Sounds cool
