I am going to buy a flute, and i have to buy it online because i have no access to a local music store. Problem is, i have never played a silver flute before, and i have no teacher at the moment (i do play bamboo flute ). Therefore, I would have no way to know if there are any technical error with the flute, and no one to ask, no one to test it for me. So i want to ask if you were me, would you buy a flute and pray for luck to get a decent instrument?

For the list above, Azumi seems to be the most reasonable choice for me (for price) and Pearl 795-Coda is what i like the most (but kinda out of reach at the moment due to high price).
I did some search before open this thread, and it seems that Azumi 3000 got a lot of positive reviews but the Yamaha YFL-684H/674H, what do you think about the Yamaha in comparison with the Azumi 3000?
In addition, what else would you recommend for a budget of $4000
For a $4000 budget, there are so many options, I would just have fun flute shopping! Just play on them and see which one(s) you like the best. Who knows, you may be able to find what you like for $1000 dollars instead of $4000.
I have had my share of different flute brands and models. The only thing you can do to choose the right one it play on it. Telling you which ones I like will be kind of a waste for your purposes. I will gladly give you my opinions....

This is a good flute, but I do not like them over all. The headjoint is cool, but the mechanism is mediocre to me. Most people that own them like them.

-Muramatsu EX
Playing this thing is like going driving a high end sports car. The headjoint is very flexible, but takes time to tame for most people. Other than that, this quality instrument is on par with other higher quality Japanese brands. If you pick this one, you will definitely be at the limit of your budget.
-Pearl 795-Coda
Pearls have always been one of my favorite flute brands. For the price, you get good bang for your buck. If you cannot afford this model, consider buying a 600 series coda. It may save you some money. Keep in mind that the 795, and the 665 have the same mechanism. The 695 Coda has the same headjoint as the 795, and they play virtually identical.
-Yamaha YFL-684H/674H
The Yamaha flutes are generally over priced new, until you get to the 500 series. This is where Yamaha really shines. Not the most spectacular flute I ever owned, but definitely one of the best. The EC headjoint this comes with is flexible but tame. This quality instrument is on par with other higher quality Japanese brands. On the money tip, if you go down to the YFL500 series, they cost less than the Azumi, Amadeus, and the Sonare models you listed. You will definitely wind up with a better flute!

I picked a pearl over this. However, I would put this model on par with most of the models you mentioned. Definitely one to consider when you are shopping around. At almost half the money as the rest of the flute you mentioned, this model will give them a run for their money.
