D-Flat Piccolo

Post by ccbpiccolo »

I never thought I'd say this, but I NEED a d-flat piccolo to play with a circus band. Any leads would be most appreciated. Thanks.

There are a few on eBay, but they all appear to need new pads.

I have to agree about the ones on e-bay. I was given a lead on a Monnig wooden d-flat with wave style headjoint; it is beautiful & the seller has played it. Still giving it some thought only because my need is very rare. You can see it at usedflutes.com. Thanks for your reply.

If you are still looking for a Db piccolo, I found a repair shop that has one available. It will need a repad, but it may be a more economical alternative if you are trying to keep your costs down.

Here's a link to some photos of it. I'll send you a private message with the contact info.
