Hello, I recently obtained the aforementioned Tip Lamberson flute. Constructed of what I believed to be solid silver, but after digging around a bit, perhaps it is coin silver. Not exactly sure about the difference. The flute has low b and the head joint is marked LL 25. I have been unable to find a serial number list corresponding with year of manufacture, but believe this flute may have been made in the mid to late 70's.
We no longer have a flautist alive in our family. My grandfather was an accomplished violin maker and enjoyed playing various instruments. He leaned towards quality woodwind and string.
I am simply looking for any useful information about this particular flute. I am new to this forum and apologize is this message is out of order. If so, I encourage the moderators to remove it and accept my apologies.
Not sure how to post images, but will do if I can figure that out.
Thank you
