Vintage Artley Piccolo
I have an Artley Piccolo that looks like it was made in 1955 (per the serial number). How do I find out if this is a silver model? It also says "Artley 98 Elkhart, Ind USA Herman Silvers" on the body. I can't figure out the Herman Silvers reference. Any help and guidance appreciated.

Googling "Herman Silvers" and "flute", this comes up:

That's about all I could find. Maybe it belonged to him and he had his name engraved on it? Sorry I am not much help.
You may be able to email Conn Selmer with the serial number and they can tell you what it's made of? I did that with the Sankyo company and my flute.
