Year of Manufacture was 1988. Not likely that Tanaka would have made a 1207.

Thanks. So it's a spring chicken after all. Barely wet behind the ears.

Sure is a nice flute! Responsive, with a beautiful sound. It is such a relief to play because all sorts of things I've been having difficulty with went away. I get the feeling that I've barely begun to tap its quality. For learning, it is reassuring to know that if I'm struggling with something, it is me... not the flute... and therefore worth working through with the expectation of improving.
