"I'm finally selling my first flute that I played on through high school and Youth Symphony. It would make a great step- up flute for any serious middle or high schooler, or for an intermediate student of any age looking for a nice instrument to learn on. The only reason I'm selling this Gem is that I now play a Brannen- Cooper and never use this one. Flutes should be played instead of sitting on a shelf and this one deserves a good home.
This is an open hole model solid silver flute with plated keys and mechanism. It has an inline G which I personally always prefer on any flute, B foot, white gold springs, and the lip plate and inside of the headjoint are gold plated. The flute has pointed key arms which contribute to the instrument retaining value as well as durability and cosmetics (some even say acoustics). The headjoint is marked "Professional, Gemeinhardt KGG, Elkhart Ind, Custom". The serial number on the barrel is 1142.
I'm letting it go for a really reasonable price because it is about nine years old and has some cosmetic wear; nothing too notable besides wear on the plating in some places, such as the c# roller and a small spot on the lip plate. The flute could use a COA (clean, oil, and adjust) by a qualified repair technician as general maitenance, but it is in good playing condition at the moment. Please contact me with any questions!"
