Hi guys,
So I've been playing a pretty ancient Armstrong 303B flute for the last year that is beginning to need frequent servicing! So I'm looking to buy a new one.
I'm planning to spend £1000 to £1500 and I'm thinking of a Yamaha possibly a 400 series, although I'm open to other brands/models.
I was just wondering if anyone had any recommendations of flutes within this price range?
I'm looking for a flute with a solid silver head joint (possibly a silver body too - though depends on price limit) and I'm not really fussed about a B foot joint or open hole keys, I've got these on my Armstrong and I don't really make use of either of them a whole lot! I would also like an offset G and a split E mechanism.
My Armstrong has a thin wall head joint, which I do like very much but I will be trying out different flute models before buying so I'm willing to try something different.
Thanks for any help! I'm a bit of a flute purchasing novice as I'm pretty much self taught, although I am looking to do my grades sometime in the future
