I currently play classical flute and am thinking of buying an Irish folk flute and am particularly drawn towards wooden rather than composite material
I once tried an Irish flute but found the hole span to wide for me as I have quite small hands. I researched Casey Burns Flues (through a US forum) who provide wooden flutes with a shorter hole span
Has anyone any recommendations for flutes I should be considering, has anyone any experience of Casey Burns flutes and are there any obvious disadvantages with this type of flutes such as the wood cracking, etc
Many thanks
Paul
