Japanese boehm flute from the 80's

Post by Rodrigoacevedo »

Hi everyone, I need a bit of help. I've bought and old Mateki from 1985-86 and as the owner couldn't assure whether the flute in 440 or 442 was, do your have any info about the flute that were made those years? Or any measurements I can find? I'm having some hard time getting to A=442, that's why I am asking.

Thank you!!!

I don't know the Mateki tunig, but you you might check the position of the headjoint cork to be sure it is in the correct place. Improper cork position can cause intonation issues.

Hi, yes I already check and it's correct. I've been looking for another Mateki flutes of the same period and seem to be on 442, but with this one I'm not sure 😭
