W.T. Armstrong 103 manufacture date

Hi, I recently acquired a W.T. Armstrong open- holed flute with serial number 103 28 41998. I've dug up a little information on them, but if anyone is versed in dating these flutes, your knowledge will be greatly appreciated! Thx!

Armstrong is now owned by Conn-Selmer. Their website indicates:

Note: From 1974 to present - The prefix number plus 50 will give you the date manufactured.
For example: Serial# 24-58637 = 24 + 50 = 1974

So, in your case 28+ 50 = (19)78.
